Haha loved the last para comments. It's fun how they get older, they are more unimpressed with what you do.

I had a chance to meet Giroux in Boston in 2012 and have some photos of when I met him. I also play gentleman's hockey and obviously watch every Flyers game. My daughter thought I played for the Flyers or at least had played for them because of the picture of me and G etc (ie: all my flyers jersey hats shirts). Now my younger son is similarly confused.. My wife rolls her eyes. The only person in my house more unimpressed is my wife at what she perceives as the kids thinking I'm actually a good hockey player hahah

It should be noted that there was only one camera angle available on the play in question, and it was from a distance.

I really hope Allison has a high ankle sprain and not another knee injury.

Why are all the Flyers young prospects so injury prone? Or is Billy Pen still jinxing us?

Like I said, spin it any way you want. Just evidence of your GM level ability to evaluate players!

For any parent who has a child that age -- or remember when their own kids were that age and starting to discover what daddy (or mommy) does for a living, it's pretty special.

My son thinks I'm the Flyers GM! I wonder where he got this idea?

Good thing you’re not our GM because half this board would think they’re smarter than you.

This from the guy that has criticized almost every move our GM made this offseason because he thinks he knows better than a GM also, keep up the good work.

Curious regarding the pandemic if they are going to allow Jim Jackson and Keith Jones to travel with the team now. Merrell and Mike and not traveling yet with the Eagles nor are the Phillies guys.

I think you lose something in the broadcast when the guys are not actually there.

Does anyone know what the deal is for out of market games. Will it be the same old NHL.TV or would you have to get ESPN+ instead?

Dude you asserted that Frost sucked and didn't do anything to your Eye test stating it as pure fact that you saw him suck.
Then Bill schools you and then you proceed to complain about not really being able to tell who was who cause you couldn't see cause one camera shot....

What your initial comment should have been is this.
Although I couldn't see a thing, I think that even though I couldn't tell who was who is that Morgan Frost is terrible and I'm a moron for trying to think I know anything about anything.

So true, but what is worse is the only way MJL comes out on top is if the Flyers have another dreadful season, so he can say, See .. Hextall was so much better than Fletcher, and, I told you Risto's metrics showed he was a horrible defender, and, See, I told you there had to be a reason Nashville traded Ellis. On top of this, if Myers has a great season, Yikes! I don't even want to think about that scenario.

On the flip side, I applaud and love all the moves Fletcher made this off season and think he is head and shoulders above Hextall as a GM. I come out on top if the Flyers have a great season this year, and I kind of think that is the way it should be!

When my son, Benjamin, was two, he thought I was the Flyers goalie. In months that followed, he thought I was the Flyers coach. I informed him repeatedly that, no, I'm just a writer who does work for the Flyers and Flyers Alumni. He wasn't as enthusiastic when he came to understand what that job entailed. Nowadays, at age 12, he's even more unimpressed.

Kids have a way of being brutally honest.

Hmmm ... show me were I "Asserted" Frost sucked?? I'll wait. What I said was I was not impressed with Frost in GAME 2 and "that he couldn't win a faceoff to save his life". I didn't have the box score or stats from the game, and I couldn't find it anywhere on the internet, so all I was going by was what I could see from that center ice camera. I'm actually glad Bill pointed out that overall Frost won 60% of his draws, though he lost several from the left faceoff dot, which may have been what I noticed.

But overall, I want Frost to succeed, not fail you Doofas! I am a fan first and foremost of the Flyers and would like to see a first round pick play well and have a nice career for the Flyers. I also mentioned I really liked Ratcliff in game 2 and gave 3 reasons why, funny how no one responded to that comment!

Obviously can’t speak for him but his comments have been geared towards the cap and sustaining a strong team moving forward. You can’t argue there were some win now moves made this past offseason. I think change was necessary, depending how the team gels and what some future contracts look like we won’t know the implications of these moves but I’m optimistic about the team.

while MJL is critical of trading youth for vets, going into a win now mode when he thinks they are not ready, I have not doubt he wants the Flyers to win and win now. I personally think CF did a good job and it was the way to go. I question some of the cost involved, I question adding Thompson but think CF loaded the depth and did a good job overall

No .. no .. see I wasn't the GM last season, but given how horrible they were I had to take the reigns this off season and make the necessary changes. Now if the Flyers have another bad season, I am sunk!
